WATCH: Pence preps House GOP to ‘buckle up’ for aggressive agenda
Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Thursday prepared his former House Republican colleagues for a high-octane agenda in the 115th Congress, according to several lawmakers attending a closed-door meeting with the Indiana governor.
{mosads}Pence “said ‘buckle up’ and be ready to go to work in January,” Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.) told The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.
Pence said “two big things” top the list, according to Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Mich.), “repealing and replacing ObamaCare [and] how we’re going to deal with our tax structure.”
Asked if GOP lawmakers discussed President-elect Donald Trump’s promise to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, Huizenga quickly said no.
