Senators began another round of confirmation hearings Thursday, with high-profile picks coming to Capitol Hill.
Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Defense secretary, testified in front of the Armed Services Committee.
{mosads}Dr. Ben Carson, who has been tapped to lead the Department of Housing and Urban Development, faced questions from the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
And Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.), Trump’s pick for CIA director, will testify to the Intelligence Committee.
