WATCH: No winners in government shutdown, says Graham
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says there are no winners in the government shutdown.
“Blaming one party over the other in a shutdown never works, everybody’s losing,” he told reporters Monday in the hours before the Senate voted to fund the government, ending a three-day shutdown.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) said the winners of the government reopening are federal employees and those who depend on services from the government.
“The most important winners are all the folks who depend upon services from the federal government and our federal employees and military,” he said.
