Hanna Trudo is a senior political correspondent for The Hill, where she established a new area of coverage focused on the Democratic Party’s left wing. She has covered Democrats for five election cycles and regularly interviews prominent political figures in the White House, Congress, and campaigns for digital and television audiences. Trudo previously led coverage of Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election as a reporter for The Daily Beast, where she traveled across the country chronicling his winning campaign. She also reported extensively on the most influential progressives on Capitol Hill. Trudo has written for The New Republic, Wired, Marie Claire, Foreign Policy, Politico, and National Journal, and has provided analysis on MSNBC, Fox News, CBS News, C-SPAN, and The Hill’s sister television network NewsNation. Her published work has been cited by The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, NPR, CNN, NBC News, ABC News, Forbes, The Atlantic, Columbia Journalism Review, and in Senate Homeland Security Committee testimony.
