Theresa May: Trump ‘wrong’ to attack London mayor

British Prime Minister Theresa May on Monday criticized President Trump for his series of attacks on London Mayor Sadiq Khan in the days since a terror attack in the city.

“Sadiq Khan is doing a good job. It’s wrong to say anything else,” May said at a press conference in London, according to Bloomberg.

{mosads}Trump ripped Khan on Sunday morning in a tweet, one day after attackers in London drove a van into pedestrians before stabbing others, killing seven and injuring dozens.

“At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’ ” Trump tweeted. His quote of Khan was out of context; the mayor’s full comment told Londoners not to be alarmed by seeing an increased police presence.

Trump continued his attacks against Khan on Monday, tweeting: “Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his ‘no reason to be alarmed’ statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!”
