The U.S. Postal Service said Saturday morning that it fixed the technical glitch roiling its email network.
The Associated Press reports that spokesman David Partenheimer said the “Postal Service is back up” after the network crashed Thursday afternoon.
The outage impacted some package handling and package scanning at some post offices.
The Postal Service said the outage had nothing to do with hackers or a cyber intrusion, it was simply a “technical problem while hardware was being installed.”
