Giuliani to Tucker Carlson: ‘No justification’ for FBI raid

Former President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani on Thursday said there was no justification for an FBI raid on his apartment earlier in the week and denied any wrongdoing.

“There was no justification for that warrant, it is illegal, unconstitutional warrant,” Giuliani told Tucker Carlson in an appearance on his prime-time Fox News show.

Giuliani said that seven FBI agents arrived outside his door at 7 a.m. on Wednesday with a warrant for electronics. He claimed that the warrant is based on one instance of failing to file as a foreign agent when he represented a Ukrainian national that he says he never actually represented.

Giuliani said that agents took up to eight electronic devices and two devices that belonged to someone else that he did not identify.

He said that the agents did not take three hard drives that he claimed belong to President Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

Giuliani is being investigated on allegations that he was lobbying the Trump administration to Ukrainian officials, with sources telling The New York Times the case is focusing on the firing of U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.

Prosecutors can only get a warrant if they think that it will lead to them finding evidence of a crime.

Trump has slammed the raid, saying during an interview with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo on Thursday morning that it was “very unfair.”

“It’s like so unfair and … it’s like a double standard like I don’t think anybody’s ever seen before,” Trump said. “It’s very, very unfair. Rudy is a patriot who loves this country.”
