Scott Dworkin, Co-founder: Democratic Coalition. On the state of the race, Co-founder of the Democratic Coalition Scott Dworkin, says “stop with the candidates.” He says Rep. Justin Amash entering the 2020 race would help President Trump. Dworkin believes Rep. Amash running would be a waste. According to Dworkin candidates need to be more broad and center of their issues in order to win, but they cannot play it safe or compromise their values. He believes the nominee needs to be someone they’re passionate about, who hits hard. Dworkin says right now the hard hitters are Senators Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren. The co-founder of the Democratic Coalition says in terms of online action the biggest spark candidates can get is twitter & facebook. He says we don’t want a future President who is the “twitter President,” but they need to be able to take President Trump online. On Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony, Dworkin says it’s a case of “we brought a book to a twitter fight.” He says he believes democrats will be defending Mueller and others will be trashing him.
