Donald Trump continues to struggle to win over Latino voters, according to a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal/Telemundo poll, with about one in seven saying they support the presumptive GOP nominee.
{mosads}Seventy-six percent of the 300 register Latino voters surveyed back Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, while 14 percent said they support Trump.
A majority – 63 percent – describe themselves as “pessimistic and worried” about Trump and 82 percent said they have an unfavorable view of the candidate. Just 11 percent said they have a positive view of the businessman. An additional 20 percent said they’re “uncertain and wondering” about his ability to do the job of president.
Clinton’s favorability rating with Latinos is 64 percent positive, 25 percent negative.
The poll was conducted in English and in Spanish July 9-13 and has a margin of error of 5.66 percent.
Clinton leads Trump by 4 points in an ABC News/Washington Post poll released Sunday morning. She had the support of 46 percent of voters in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday morning, compared to 41 percent for Trump.
