Wolff gained Trump White House cooperation with flattering book title: report
Michael Wolff reportedly got the Trump White House to cooperate for his book in part by pitching it with a flattering title.
Bloomberg News reported that Wolff pitched his book to the White House with the title: “The Great Transition: The First 100 Days of the Trump Administration.”
According to the publication, most people in the Trump White House were under the impression that someone else had approved their conversations with Wolff.
{mosads}Wolff’s explosive book — which was ultimately named “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” — spurred controversy over some of its claims.
After excerpts of the book were released earlier this month that included controversial quotes from Stephen Bannon, President Trump lashed out his former chief strategist, accusing him of losing his mind.
Bannon has since stepped down as the head of Breitbart News.
The book also raised questions about Trump’s mental fitness for office.
Trump and his aides have attacked Wolff over the book, with Trump previously labeling it a “fake book.”
This past weekend, Trump again tore into Wolff, calling the author “mentally deranged” and claiming the media is promoting the book.
“So much Fake News is being reported. They don’t even try to get it right, or correct it when they are wrong. They promote the Fake Book of a mentally deranged author, who knowingly writes false information. The Mainstream Media is crazed that WE won the election!” Trump tweeted.
