GOP chairwoman negative for COVID
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel has tested negative for novel coronavirus, the RNC’s communications director confirmed Wednesday evening.
“On the advice of her doctor, @GOPChairwoman was administered a test for COVID-19. That test has fortunately come back negative,” GOP communications director Michael Ahrens tweeted Wednesday.
“We encourage all Americans to follow @CDCgov guidance to protect themselves and their communities, and applaud the Trump administration’s continued actions to keep our country safe,” Ahrens added.

McDaniel was tested last Friday and her results were reported five days later, longer than the White House said it took for President Trump to be tested.
Ahrens said last Friday that McDaniel, upon experiencing a fever and flu-like symptoms, visited a Michigan hospital and that her doctor recommended a COVID-19 test after she tested negative for flu and strep. The communications director said the chairwoman would self-quarantine until the results of her test were available.
