Cohen says he warned Giuliani about Trump throwing him under the bus
Michael Cohen, former President Trump’s ex-lawyer, said he warned Rudy Giuliani that he would be “the next one to be thrown under the bus.”
In an interview on “CNN Newsroom” one day after federal prosecutors executed a search warrant at Giuliani’s home and law office, Cohen, who served time for crimes he says were committed at Trump’s behest, addressed the former New York mayor directly, telling him “I told you so.”
“What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone or anything. That he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen,” Cohen said when pressed by host Alisyn Camerota.
“What I told him was that Donald Trump doesn’t care about anyone or anything, that he will be the next one to be thrown under the bus,” says Michael Cohen of Rudy Giuliani.

Investigators reportedly searched Giuliani’s apartment on Wednesday as part of an investigation into his dealings with Ukraine.
They are looking into if he illegally lobbied the Trump administration on behalf of Ukrainian oligarchs, the same officials who were helping him search for dirt on Trump’s political foes, including then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
On Wednesday, Cohen offered an excited reaction to the news that the search warrant had been executed, writing on Twitter “Here we go folks!!!”

When asked what he thought when he heard the news of Giuliani’s home and office being raided, Cohen said the first thing that came to mind was “that I’m no longer the only one.”
That comment is referring to the FBI’s raid of Cohen’s hotel room, home and office in April 2018, on suspicions that he was acting as an unregistered foreign agent, among other crimes.
Cohen went on to plead guilty to charges of bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance violations later that year.
Last month, the president’s former lawyer met with the Manhattan district attorney’s office for the seventh time as part of its criminal investigation looking into Trump’s family business finances.
Trump slammed the Giuliani raid during an interview on Thursday, calling it “very unfair,” and referring to Giuliani as a “great patriot.”
