Executive Assistant 

We are seeking highly motivated candidates for a full-time Executive Assistant to join our growing team. This position provides direct support to Silverado’s Executive Leadership Team consisting of the Board’s Co-Chairs and the Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with dynamic senior leaders in the Washington, DC policy arena, and to contribute to the mission of a growing non-profit think tank.  This position will provide support in all organizational matters, and will support the smooth planning and management of meetings, travel, and other important engagements relating to Silverado’s mission.  

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Supports the Executive Leadership team directly as the go-to person for daily calendar management, travel schedules, project coordination, preparing presentations/reports, and managing correspondence/email.  
  • Supports the Executive Leadership team by planning and executing all travel, including flights, accommodations and ground transportation, and submitting expense reports according to the Silverado travel policy as appropriate. 
  • Coordinates the overall itineraries and agenda for travel for the Co-Founders and CEO by working closely with other team members as necessary to ensure that all supporting documents, agendas, and briefs are prepared, organized, and shared as needed. 
  • Supports the Executive Leadership team by organizing meetings and events, including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary. 
  • Manages and responds to correspondence from outside stakeholders directed to the Board Co-Chairs and/or CEO; including answering questions and meeting requests. 
  • Provides support for administrative tasks that further Silverado’s mission. 
  • Attends meetings, takes notes, and executes on follow-up tasks and correspondence as requested.  
  • Researches priority topics as assigned by the Board Chairs or CEO. 
  • Summarizes research, white papers, and news clips in relevant areas.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • At least 3-5 years of work experience, preferably providing executive administrative support 
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously 
  • Ability to confidently demonstrate discretion and patience when managing questions and inquiries of various stakeholders 
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Google platform 
  • Strong writing skills  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter 

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:  

  • Demonstrated interest in public policy development in: geopolitics, cybersecurity, climate and trade, industrial policy, supply chains. 
  • Previous work experience in federal government agencies, Congress, or organizations focused on public policy.
